Tutto l’equipaggio ed il team Lifexplorer è eccitato non solo per la nuova sfida dell’immenso Oceano  Pacifico,  ma anche per il nuovo impegno  al quale  Lifexplorer ha aderito nel raccogliere i dati dei contenuti di microplastiche e delle presenze di plancton delle acque che percorreremo nelle nostre rotte oceaniche.

Infatti sotto la supervisione del nostro Francis (un perfetto responsabile scientifico) l’equipaggio di Lifexplorer  raccoglierà ed elaborerà 2 volte al giorno campioni delle acque, per analizzare e trasmettere i dati risultanti  a GOES, la  fondazione ambientalista che sostiene come  “solo salvando gli oceani ed in particolare il suo plancton, che rappresenta la principale forma di assorbimento naturale del CO2,  si potrà raggiungere il risultato per il quale stiamo lottando ma principalmente con la riduzione di emissioni”. Ad oggi questa risorsa di plancton è già distrutta al 50%. Una maggiore volontà pubblica e collettiva potrebbe velocemente fornire gli strumenti per rovesciare questa tendenza degli oceani, generando un fondamentale e molto più rapido contributo all’ assorbimento naturale del CO2 per dare un futuro al nostro pianeta.

Lifexplorer negli anni 2023-24-25-26 rileverà ed elaborerà centinaia di campioni per 15.000 miglia nautiche sulla sua rotta

• Luglio/ Agosto 2023 dal sud del Chile verso nord ovest, a nord dell’isola di Pasqua  nella area ove quest’anno, quando noi saremo lì,  con probabilità del oltre il 90% (fonte NOAA), prende forma e dovrebbe consolidarsi il fenomeno meteorologico ENSO chiamato el Nino, che stà già influenzando e progressivamente sempre più influenzerà l’annata meteorologica mondiale.  Noi, che saremo nell’area di manifestazione del fenomeno, non dovremmo avere effetti climatici terribili, ma probabilmente un calo degli alisei che dovrebbero spingerci verso la Polinesia francese nel Sud dell’Oceano Pacifico centrale sino a Raiatea, una maggiore tempo di navigazione è da prevedere
• nel luglio2024-25 sono previste navigazioni dalla Polinesia  nel pacifico centrale sino alle Hawaii attraversando l’equatore.
• nel Luglio Agosto 2026  il piano prevede l’ attraversata del Pacifico Settentrionale centrale sino all’ Alaska, nll’area  della famosa isola delle plastiche.
• L’anno 2027 il piano prevede da giugno a settembre il tentativo di percorre il passaggio Nord Ovest dallo stretto di Bering sino all’oceano Atlantico alla costa orientale americana.

LIFEXPLORER partecipa alla Global Oceanic Environmental Survey

The whole Lifexplorer crew and team is excited not only for the new challenge of the immense Pacific Ocean, but also for the new commitment to which Lifexplorer has joined in collecting data on the microplastic content and presence of plankton in the waters that we will sail during our ocean routes.

In fact, under the supervision of our Francis (a perfect scientific manager) the Lifexplorer crew will collect and process water samples twice a day, to analyze and transmit the resulting data to GOES, the environmental foundation which supports how “only by saving the oceans and in particular its plankton, which represents the main form of natural absorption of CO2, it will be possible to achieve the result for which we are fighting but mainly with the reduction of emissions”. As of today this plankton resource is already 50% destroyed. Greater public and collective will could quickly provide the tools to reverse this trend of the oceans, generating a fundamental and much faster contribution to the natural absorption of CO2 to give a future to our planet.

Lifexplorer in the years 2023-24-25-26 will detect and process hundreds of samples for 15,000 nautical miles in the central North South route:

• July/August 2023 from southern Chile to the northwest, north of Easter Island in the area where this year, when we will be there, with a probability of over 90% (source NOAA), the ENSO meteorological phenomenon called el Nino, which is already influencing and will progressively more and more influence the world meteorological 2023. We, who will be in the manifestation area of the phenomenon, should not have terrible climatic effects, but probably a drop in the trade winds which should push us towards French Polynesia in the south of the central Pacific Ocean up to Raiatea, a longer sailing time is to be foresee

• in July 2024-25 navigations are planned from Polynesia in the central Pacific up to Hawaii crossing the equator.

• in July August 2026 the plan envisages the crossing of the central North Pacific up to Alaska, in the area of the famous island of plastics.

• In 2027, the plan calls for an attempt to travel the Northwest Passage from the Bering Strait to the Atlantic Ocean to the American east coast from June to September.
